Wowbagger Productions was set up by Sara Kenney in 2011 to tell stories through TV, films, comics and immersive experiences. For 25 years Sara has worked in science engagement in science orgs (e.g. Environment Agency/ Wellcome Trust) and as a filmmaker on documentaries, drama and animation (BBC, Channel 4, Discovery).

In 2016 she wrote her first comic Surgeon X (Image Comics) and 2017-19 became a Wellcome Trust Engagement Fellow exploring comics, storytelling and health. In 2020 Sara was a BEATS Fellow (British East & SE Asians in Theatre & Screen).

Sara is an Honorary member of staff at Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine & guest lecturer at Cambridge University (CRASSH); Imperial College (Surgical Education) & Manchester University (History/Science Communication).

At Wowbagger Sara works with a variety of different people and organisations to explore how we can tell stories about science and health in inventive ways. She also provides consultancy services for science communication and engagement projects.
